Shiftbook

A new genre of book that shifts the reader
from where they are to where they choose to be.

Talk. Decide. Shift.

The first Shiftbook in the world is now open. ↓

What is a Shiftbook

A Shiftbook is not a book you read. Not an audiobook you listen to. Not a course that teaches you. Not an AI-chatbot that answers your questions.

A Shiftbook leads the reader through decisions about themselves — and each decision shifts them into a new position.

The result is not new knowledge but a lived shift: a new view, a new stance, a new decision. And an artifact that stays with the person — passport, plan, map, manifesto — so the shift doesn't dissolve, but takes hold.

Books give information. Courses give structure. AI-chatbots give answers. None of this changes a person — because none of it requires a decision about oneself.

A shift begins where a person makes a decision: I choose this value, I take this stand, I see my market this way, I place myself at this point.

Everything else is preparation. The shift is the moment when "I thought one thing — now I see another, and I live from there."

How it differs from what already exists

A book

You read it, often unfinished. Nothing in your life changes — because you made no decisions about yourself.

An audiobook

Changes the channel of delivery, not the nature of interaction. Still passive consumption.

A course

Teaches content. A Shiftbook helps you arrive at your own conclusions through the author's method.

"Talk to my book" AI

Answers questions about content. A Shiftbook leads you to your own decision through a structured method.

An AI coach-clone

Imitates a personality. A Shiftbook is trained by the author to lead through their method — the method matters more than the persona.

General AI like ChatGPT

Knows everything a little, nothing deeply. A Shiftbook is trained on a specific authored methodology in detail.

Anatomy

Every Shiftbook contains five elements:

1

Authored methodology

A structured method with logic of "what follows what" — not just knowledge.

2

A path of shifts

A sequence of stages where the reader makes decisions about themselves. Each decision — a micro-shift.

3

AI-companion trained by the author

Not just an uploaded book. The author personally calibrates how to ask, when to deepen, when to stop.

4

An artifact as anchor

A finished document — passport, map, manifesto, plan — that fixes the shift in the reader's life.

5

The book as foundation

The original book by the author, accessible as the source of method to which one can return.

At what level a shift can happen

All of these are territories of the Shiftbook. It is enough that the author has a methodology that leads through decisions.

The first Shiftbook in the world

"The Meaning of Life and Its Marketing" by Tetiana Zhdanova — built on her book and the methodology of Gravitation Marketing.

The reader passes through five stages of decisions about themselves:

The result — a Semantic Passport. A document that becomes the foundation for strategic and existential decisions.

For authors

Your book can become a Shiftbook — if you have a methodology that leads readers through decisions about themselves.

Whose methodology fits the genre

A Shiftbook is possible when there is:

Examples of methodologies that could fit the genre — protocol-based therapy schools (CBT, ACT, IFS), business strategy frameworks, structured career-design methods, communication practices like NVC, creative methodologies with a defined path. The list is open.
